Beautiful and charming comedy with adorable story and great ending
When news breaks that the county pig fete's being revived, the once-legendary Farmer decides to make one final roll of the dice - and invest his life savings in a thoroughbred piglet with which to breed new life back into his now dilapidated farm. But when he puts young Edmund out to breed and the lad abstains, the Farmer's forced on a journey that will challenge everything he thought he knew about pigs, love and the true value of life.
The voice of Ian McKellan, the performance of David Bradley and Edmund. A simple story, amusing, touching, in same measure, about the gray life of a farmer, his noble past and a newspaper article giving hope , a huge unlock and a gesture changing everything and giving joy and sense to a not spectacular existence. The film could be perceived from different angles but it is a beautiful, charming storytelling about sense. Reminding a Hasidic story. And giving not only a good short film or subtle pledge for a pink cause but a special state to the viewer. A virtue for I am real and profound happy to see it. Again.
