'Alien' 40th Anniversary Short Films Expand the Xenomorph Mythos!
In honor of the 40th anniversary of ALIEN (1979), 20th Century Fox partnered with Tongal to release a series of fan-made short films commemorating the xenomorphic cult & classic movie. With offering $250,000 in prizes to the winners, more than 500 applications were submitted for the contest. Six visionary filmmakers were given the opportunity to expand the terrifying imaginations of Ridley Scott, Dan O'Bannon and H.R Giger. The filmmakers were granted access to the Alien archives, awarded permission to use as many characters and creatures from Alien Universe as they desired.

Moments before the colonial transport Borrowdale breaks up and explodes, a shuttle escapes from the vessel carrying four survivors. Having safely escaped their ship's destruction, the shuttle's pilot, Ward, tends to the injured members of the crew.

When a missing space trucker is discovered hungover and disoriented, his co-worker suggests a nightcap as a remedy. Near closing time, they are reluctantly allowed inside the colony supply depot where the trucker's condition worsens, leaving a young supply worker alone to take matters into her own hands.
